Watching the test pattern

My apologies to readers of this blog for the suspension of transmission in the last month. I mentioned earlier that I was having a few job-related things going on, then at the beginning of this month I had a very close family bereavement, which has left me quite lost and really not up to blogging.

I'm getting back to it now (though I'll be taking it slowly), as sifting through all the info of the bookworld and blogging about it is one of lifes little pleasures for me, and I could do with more of those right now. Onwards and upwards.

What I've been Buying - November

Well, I succeeded in my November challenge of not buying any new books - yay me! I did go into bookshops, but suppressed the urge to buy at every turn. I almost had to cave on the very last day - we went to Paris for the weekend, and had no map, no guidebook nothing. And I very sneakily got around it by letting the hubby go in and buy the book.

Circumstances have contrived in such a way that December has been a very light book-buying month too (only 1 book so far), though I think with Christmas just around the corner things are about to change dramatically. I almost feel sad to see my to-be-read pile look so small and lonesome...
